Street food, reimagined understood
See how it works
What Drift Lomir actually is
Drift Lomir launched in 2019 as a live webinar platform built around a single subject: street food. Not recipes alone, but the full picture - sourcing, technique, equipment, and the economics of running a stall or small production operation. The platform now serves participants across all 50 states, giving anyone with a reliable internet connection access to the same quality of instruction.
Each session runs with a live expert and an open Q&A window. Participants bring real questions - about candy making supplies that hold up in outdoor heat, about candy production equipment sized for a 200-unit daily run - and get direct answers rather than pre-recorded scripts.
The format is deliberately compact. Most webinars run between 75 and 90 minutes, structured so working vendors and food entrepreneurs can attend without clearing half a day from their schedule.
The people running sessions
Instructors come from active careers in food vending, production supply, and culinary education - not from adjacent industries trying to speak to this one.
Yeva Kostrova
Head of Curriculum
Yeva spent 9 years managing sourcing for a regional candy making supplies distributor before joining Drift Lomir. She designs the session structure and selects which topics get covered each quarter based on what vendors are actually asking about.
Sourcing & Supply
Tomasz Wierzbicki
Lead Instructor
Tomasz ran a street confectionery operation in three cities over 6 years, which means he has hands-on experience with candy production equipment at multiple scales - from a single-burner cart setup to a licensed commercial kitchen producing 500 units per shift.
Production & EquipmentAdaeze Okonkwo
Platform Director
Adaeze oversees the technical side of every live broadcast and manages the interactive tools that make Q&A sessions functional rather than chaotic. She introduced the current polling and live annotation system that instructors now use in 100% of sessions.
Platform & DeliveryHow sessions are structured
Every webinar on the platform follows a consistent format that keeps instruction specific rather than general. Instructors open with a defined problem - a particular piece of candy production equipment that fails in cold weather, or a candy making supplies category that vendors routinely overbuy - and work through it with concrete examples.
Participants across different regions face different supply constraints, so sessions are designed to be useful whether someone is sourcing locally or ordering nationally.
- Live Q&A runs for the final 20 minutes of every session
- Session recordings available for 14 days after broadcast
- Written summaries sent within 24 hours of each webinar
Live broadcast format
All sessions run in real time with no pre-recorded substitutes. Instructors respond to participant questions as they arise during the session.
Equipment-specific content
Topics regularly cover specific candy production equipment categories - tempering units, depositors, wrapping machines - with guidance on what scale justifies each purchase.
Supplies and sourcing depth
Sessions on candy making supplies go beyond brand comparisons, covering storage requirements, shelf life under vendor conditions, and bulk ordering thresholds that affect unit cost.
Regional access by design
The platform was built to give participants in smaller markets the same session quality as those in major cities - no tiered access, no regional pricing differences.
